I couldn't help it!

Read Tanya Huff's new short story collection, Relative Magic today. The story with Vree and Bannon brought back the old itch to write something for The Quartered Sea, which I adore. So, have a drabble. Rated, hmm, PG13, I suppose, post-book.
"I'm really, really sorry, Bannon!" Benedikt's frantic apologies held both sincerity and laughter, something he was positive would ruffle Bannon's feathers the wrong way, but he just couldn't help it. "I had no idea the fountain would do that, I really didn't." After all, his lover looked so funny right now, soaked to the bone and shivering, his patented Assassin Gaze directed at the puddles on the ground, which danced with kigh Bannon couldn't see. "Forgive me?" A long silence, then:
"We'll see," Bannon growled. "But next time, no matter how good it feels when I do it, no humming."
